67th Republic Day Celebrated Reflecting Patriotic Fervor

Guest of the Day: Dr Sripal Sabnis, President, Akhil Bhartiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan



The 26th January has once again witnessed an unfazed National sprit and fervor among all the students, Teachers and the citizens, irrespective of their age, gender, caste or community.  The Republic Day celebrations gained momentum with great enthusiasm even before the day dawned.  Thousands of students joined the traditional Prabhat Pheri, the procession in a bee-line walked through every street, children singing patriotic songs and chanting slogans.
Dr. Sripal Sabnis, the Chair Person, 89th Akhil Bhartiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan, a renowned personality in the field of Marathi literature has added dignity to the occasion with his elite presence.
Dr. Sabnis during his spell binding address, proposed various possibilities to shun the inequality in the society.  In very simple terms, he has thrown light on how a section of society has misinterpreted the religious paths, universal personalities for creating fragments among the people of our country and blurred our national character.

The services and achievements of many volunteers of SSM were recognized and those were felicitated on the occasion.


Annual Day celebrated at Sainiki Vidyalay



A Bi-day event was organized on the 16th and 17th of January at the Sainiki Vidyalay to celebrate the Annual Day and Parents Meet.  The first time ever event for the parents has been successful as 200 (couples) parents joined the gala with a stay overnight on the 16th January.  A reunion of institution's Alumni was also arranged on the occasion. A Cultural night, Entertainment Games, Amusement and Feast were the themes of the programme.  The informal and homely gathering was concluded on the evening of 17th January.  The  Parents have appreciated the arrangements and returned with sweet memories.

Sane Guruji’s Birth Anniversary celebrated as Children’s Day

 
The Shri Chhatraprati Shivaji Jr Basic School of SSM took the lead this year to organize Children’s Festival on the occasion of the Birth Anniversary of ‘Sane Guruji’.  The celebration on the 23rd and 24th December 15, included cultural programe, Re-union of the past students of the school and a formal ceremony on the occasion.

The Guest of Honor, Shri Devisingh Thakur, a well known story teller and Humorist in the region, enlivened the gathering with his fun filled stories anecdotes.  Children burst into laughter for more than an hour.

 

Four Boxers selected for International Competition at South Koria



      Pawade Utkarsha, Mise Sima, Shivnwar Shubhangi and Mhaisanwad Gajanan have been received with a grand welcome at the campus when they returned with Gold Medals and Trophies on winning, all the first places at the National Half Kido Boxing Championship  organized by Maharashtra Half Kido Boxing Association, at Raighad (Maharashtra) on 15th and 16th January.  Adding more feathers, all the four champions got qualified to take part in the international Half Kido Boxing Championship to be held at South Korea in next month.

Support to the rural entrepreneurs to Scale up


      In a gesture of supporting the needy, SSM has extended a helping hand to the four young entrepreneurs from Sagroli village, who have shown a sense of hard work and determination to succeed under self employment, if a helping hand is lent.

      On the occasion of the Birth Anniversary of “Savitribai Phule’, on 4th January, SSM’s representatives have handed over financial aid to the four.
 
1. Chandrakant Gaikwad - an Auto Rikshaw driver - Needed support to repair his old Auto rickshaw, rather than purchasing a new one.

2. Raju Padamwar - A small construction contractor, needed support to purchase construction tools and equipment, presently he brings it on rent, that was taking much of his income.
 
3. Manik Ulgadde - Runs a small cutlery shop in Sagroli village, wanted to scale-up with an ice-cream parlor. needed support to purchase a chilling machine (deep freezer).


4. Vishwanath Girgaonkar - owns a small shop of chappals & shoes. needed support for show case furniture and some new material.

     
SSM has extended such support to 15 such youth to stand on their own , while the severe drought condition has rendered village life into a hell.

Presentations on "Innovation” at Technical school 



            The Technical school of SCHS and Junior college has organized a competition for the students of vocational courses, on the occasion of the National Youth Day and the Birth Anniversary of Swami Viveknanda on 12thJanuary at the Mokshagundam Vishwasharaiya Computer Centre in the Campus.The competition was held in 8 sections of technology viz.. IC engine, production of non conventional energy, farm tools, wireless communication, LED lighting source, Solar power, modern security and Home gadgets and CNG application. In an over whelming response, the participants have demonstrated their PPt presentations on innovative ideas and stunned the organizers as well as the visitors.  
All the presentations were screened for the teachers and Students. A formal gathering followed that evening to reward the 'Best' presentations.

 

Students from North-East India Visited SSM Campus :


      The, RSS Purvanchal Vikas Samiti has sponsored a National Integration and Cultural Exchange trip for a batch of students from North East states.  Presently those students are pursuing their education at Latur.
      A team of volunteers and 20 Students from Purvanchal, Nagaland, Mizoram and Meghalaya were warmly received by the students of Sanskriti Samvardhan Mandal. The visiting team mixed up with our students and attended all the activities for two days on 3rd and 4th January.  ‘The Unity in Diversity’ of our National characteristic reflected during their visit.

Rajnikanth Mense, The Director, Balgram-Pune Visited the Campus :


      On a study tour, the Director, Balgram-Pune, Shri Rajnikanth Mense had visited the Sanskriti Samvardhan Mandal on 7th January.  He was accompanied by Shri Ashok Gadge, the Executive Director, Shri Uttamrao Bhume, Supdt. Balgram-Panvel.
      Apart from visiting the multifarious activities of SSM, the team had a homely interaction with the inmates and staff of Anand Balgram.  The visitors expressed their happiness while returning from campus.

Shivaji High School's Football Team to proceed for National Level Competition


      The importance of field sports is duly recognized and encouraged by Sanskriti Samvardhan Mandal over decades.  Lately, a National Football player, Wasim Beig, was appointed to hone the skills of the young athletes of the institution.  His coaching has been doing wonders and giving the best results.  The Sagroli football team has been registering uncompromised victories even at Zonal level tournament.
      A step ahead, the U/16 and U/14 Football teams of the school have bagged Silver and Bronze medals at the state level football event organized at Aurangabad by People’s Olympic Football Association, Mumbai on 18th, 19th and 20th January.

      The winning Teams have been selected to represent ‘Maharashtra’ at the National Football Championship to be held soon.

The Exhibits on Teaching Aids Selected for State Level Science Exhibition



      Continuing the tradition set by the SSM’s Teaches over the past 5 decades, the Science Teachers of SSM, Shri Pandurang Kadam (Shivaji High School) and Shri Vijaysingh Thakur (Sainiki Vidyalay) have secured places at the State Level Science Exhibition held at Baramati (Maharashtra) from 31st January to 5th February.
      The innovative exhibits prepared by Shri Kadam (Magic of the Magents) and Shri Thakur (Mathematics in play way) represented the Nanded District for High school  and primary level, respectively.

      The efforts of the teacher were appreciated by the management committee and the District Educational Officer, Nanded.
